Kim The Attack Poodle & Ken Starr vs the aggys. Who in the hell do you root for? Can't they just make it a Round Robin Final Three?

I would love to see the Aggies take this one and send Gary Blair to a well deserved final four. He is a great coach, classy guy and he has built one hell of a program.
 
I know most Horns have a hard time rooting for A&M but I may end up pulling for the Ags in this one. Blair has always said very nice things about GG and our team, and I think this may be his best shot to make another final four or win a championship. It's a little surprising that he's only made one final four in his career, and you have to wonder how much longer he's going to coach. I think he's the same age now that JC was when she retired, or close to it anyway. I don't think he's going to leave the next year or two, but doubt he'll be around four or five years from now either. Whatever happens I'm hoping for a good game!
 
Yeah, posted on another thread that as much as I hate all things Aggie, in this case, I, too, am rooting for them to beat the jolly Green Giant, and the Coach-who-dresses-like-a-Floozie...

The key is for Danielle Adams to be able to score...she has been MIA in all 3 of the previous games....

Yeah, I always thought the ESPN talking heads could not worship anyone more than Taurasi, but I think the Griner-luv has gone way over the top.

You don’t beat a team three times in the same season by accident. It’s hard enough to win twice. But, I’m with the majority here in hoping aggy pulls this one off. It seems unnatural to pull for aTm. But, I do have some respect for what Gary Blair has done with that program. On the other hand, I have had too many bad experiences with Baylor WBB fans, and KM makes my skin crawl. I normally hate to watch the disappointment of any team after a loss in the tournament. But, somehow I don’t think it would bother me to see BG cry. As Lyle Lovett would say, That wouldn’t make me a shallow person……would it?

aTm has to play their game. Applying a lot of pressure to the Baylor guards can make it difficult to get the ball inside to the freak. Once the ball gets into the paint it’s really all up to Griner. She will miss some shots, but there is no one is WCBB who can stop her. Danielle Adams has the ability to take Griner out of the paint defensively. If Baylor is willing to play that game I think the advantage is to aggy. This would be a great time for Karla Gilbert to have a really solid game. She has the size and length to at least force the entry passes to be good ones.

I’m not going to “gig” anything for aggy. But, I will raise my horns in their support for this one game……….Think they would appreciate that?
 
I'm going all Baylor. I want to see Griner take it to the Aggies. Adams looks lazy to me and I do not enjoy watching her play the game. She runs down the court like she just ate a basket of KFC biscuits.

I could be wrong, but I think that Baylor comes out with a "we won't allow ourselves to lose" attitude and they spank that Agettes.
 
In womens college basketball my favorite 3 teams are 1. Texas 2. Baylor 3. Texas a&m. So ima have to root for Baylor in this one but I wont be upst if Texas A&M pulls it out.
 
Despite the earlier 3 wins this seasons, Baylor is the younger team, especially in the backcourt. Something tells me that will play a role tonight.

And, of course, whichever of Griner/Adams can stay out of early foul trouble will be a huge factor . . .
 
I had my back to the TV the other night when Griner was being interviewed. I didn't realized it was her, I thought it was a man speaking...she does have a very deep voice and is way taller than either of her parents..some other posters have mentioned she has an adams apple....I have not noticed that, but I do realize that she has a lot of testosterone in her, for sure.

All that being said, I know she is a successful athlete, and keeps getting better, and the "talking heads" as True referred to, will be ranting on and on about her for years to come...she will break every record in college basketball, be a #1 WNBA draft pick....etc., etc...blah, blah.....she's around for a while, folks, so get used to it!

I root for teams in concentric circles. Of course the Horns are always number one, but after that I'll root for other teams in the state, and then for Big 12 teams, and so on... Right now, I'm rooting for the Lady Bears to win the NC. You go, Texas girls!!!
 
Of course Blair has nice things to say about us. He has won 11 straight. Until last summer's unpleasantness, most UT fans said nice things about Nebraska in football. Alot of that had to do with a 9-1 record against them since the formation of the league.
 
I guess I am the only person on this board who actually likes Mulkey. I love her passion and the fact that she is always breathing fire. Her team looks like they enjoy playing for her. I'm hoping Baylor takes it all. If not Baylor, then Stanford. Anybody but UConn.
 
Count me with the Baylor group. I like both Blair and Mulkey, so I can't base it on that. For me, it's solely who has the better chance of beating Uconn, and I think that's Baylor.
 
The Attack Poodle was part of the La Tech group that broke so many Lady Longhorn hearts so I will always wish her a bad case of acid reflux. And it isnt so much the floozie out fits she wears, but that is a hard looking woman to be 49. Don't they sell Este Lauder Night Repair in Waco?
 
Hmmm…….I may have to reconsider. I notice that my messed up tournament bracket somehow has me in first place and says that Baylor will win tonight…..That wouldn’t be like going from the good guys to the bad guys. More like moving from one evil empire to another. Would it be wrong to support a different evil for self-serving purposes?

I don’t think I can do it……I expect Baylor to win. But, I would rather it go the other way.

I think that if you take BG away from Baylor, and DA from aTm, then aggy wins going away. More experience and just more talent overall. I just don’t see aggy overcoming the difference that is BG. I hope I am wrong. But at least I have a silver lining to fall back on.

Same thing really with the other game. I would rather see Duke win, but my bracket says it will be yet another evil empire.
 
Go Bears! I'll never cheer for aggie. Ever. Not even when they play the Sooners. I like Gary Blair -- classy guy -- and would take either Mulkey or Blair as our coach at Texas. They're the standard in the Big 12. Cheering for Baylor is certainly made more difficult with the homophobic Ken Starr as their president. But even my extreme dislike of Starr can't overcome the joy of watching aggie lose anytime, in any sport.
