Dallas Hotel for Anniversary

Wedding anniversary is coming up next month and the wife has hinted that she would like to stay in a nice hotel (we live in Dallas).

I've looked at both the Ritz Carlton and Crescent Court but would welcome any other recommendations; preference would be for something in the uptown area.

Thanks!

Not the ZaZa. I have stayed there, and was particularly underwhelmed. I have also had clients stay there, and they were similarly unimpressed.

I have not stayed at the Ritz Carlton, but I have been to Fearings and it is outstanding. Another new-ish and cool hotel is the Hotel Palomar on Central at Mockingbird. I had a client stay there, and she said she liked it a lot more than ZaZa.

If you are looking for a romantic thing, I would also recommend either Hotel St. Germain (with dinner in their dining room) or the Adolphus (with dinner at the French Room).

The Mansion on Turtle Creek. My favorite place to stay when I go to Dallas. Very romantic, great service, great atmosphere, etc. Talk to them, and they will help you set up a very special evening for you and your wife.

I have not stayed there but for something different you could try The Belmont Hotel. You could do dinner at Tillman's or Hattie's.

The Mansion is the best with customer service. I have stayed at a few Dallas high scale hotels and it is bar none the best! Great food too!

try the Joule. it's the brand new boutique hotel downtown on Main. i took a tour of it on Saturday. it looks bad ***. plus, the Charlie Palmer restaurant is there. fantastic.
