CWS: great experience

I got back yesterday and thought I might share some notes and thoughts:
1. Glad I went. The atmosphere is fantastic. I had no truly negative interactions with any fan base.
2. There are hard feelings from the Nebraska fan base. Some expressed it , but only in the most light hearted manner.
3. We (Wife and 2 daughters)caught 3 games. General Admission was not a bad deal at all. I missed opening weekend.
4. The Steak was awesome. We ate at Anthony's.
5. We camped at 'Mahoney State Park'. Great place to be when we were not at the stadium.
6. Rooting for the'GameCocks to win. My daughters were able to get a couple of autographs from the SC players. I really appreciate it. Wit Merrifield (RF) and Bobby Haney(SS) - thank you

I went to the game tonight and I was shocked by the mellow atmosphere. Last year was electric from start to finish. Since there are no UCLA fans here I guess the SC fans have nobody to spare with. There were more Texas and LSU fans here than UCLA fans. It's kinda sad to see them not be supported at all.

When you don't even average 1000 fans at home, you won't have many travel.

General admission for us was a pain. We just ended up waiting until the third inning every game to go in to avoid the massive lines.
