Custom Home

The wife and I are looking at new houses and have found a custom home builder that we want to meet. What questions should we ask the builder? We have had homes built before but they were canned floor plans and designs. I have talked to people that live in homes built by the builder and they are very pleased with their homes. I just do not know how it works or what I can or can not ask for.

Don't do it. Building your own house is VERY stressful and hard on a marriage. It's nice when it's done but be prepared and forewarned if you go through with it.
