Curse of the first base dugout....

I think this season's woes are more attributable to the inability to catch and throw the ball than to a dugout curse or a retired jersey.

Does anyone think it's possible some of the garbage coming from the stands behind the dugout could be causing some troubles?????
 
You're absolutely right - the team is NOT used to hearing that kind of stuff - I believe the parents sit behind the 3rd base dugout (second level) so all is quiet on that side. It's a mental game, you know. Shame, Shame, Shame!!! (and we blamed the bad games on pitching, defense & offense)
 
I agree BH. But it happens more often than you might think. If someone wants to go set behind the Astros or Rangers dugout and yell at some guys making a million plus then knock yourself out. But these are college kids. They didnt plan on this season going the way it has any more than the fans did. But it isnt because they arent trying or dont care.

I understand why they moved the UT dugout/everything else to the 1st base side. So why didn't they move the parents to the 1st base side as well?
 
The third base line has always been the parents side and I am sure they left them there to minimize the disruption to people who have had seats on the first base side for years. There were enough disruptions already this year with seat moving. That is just a guess.
