Curb Your Enthusiasm

In my continuing delightful adventures with Netflix, I've finally got around to this show. Loving it. One of the great things about missing these on a week-to-week basis is the pleasure of marathoning episode after episode.

I've only just finished Season 1 with the girlfriend. What a pleasure to know there are so many seasons still to go.

Similarlto The Office, I caught a piece of this show a few years ago and thought, "What's the big deal?" As with The Office, watching the episodes one after the other is like doing a drug. MORE! NOW!

Larry David is such an unlikely character to be attracted to. I'd say the surprise of liking him is a close second to the kind of relationship you build with Dexter through that show.

So far the Netflix Series I've enjoyed include, in rough order:

The Wire
The Office (maybe the best love story ever on TV)
Dexter
Entourage
Extras
British Office
Prime Suspect
Weeds

Generation Kill is brilliant, but more of a mini-series than a full blown series like the above.

I mention these on Hornfans because threads on this board brought my attention to some of these great series. I doubt Entourage or The Wire would have been given such a close look had I not been aware of the attention these series got around here. Good taste, my friends, and my compliments.

Curb is one of the best shows I've watched on a regular basis ever-

It's hard to be original these days- and Larry is certainly that. And uncomfortably funny.

delightful? Pleasure of? Are we talking Larry David here?

Indeed, RV, Curb is awesome. You will find that it gets even sharper in season 2 and 3. Where, you and I differ is that i can only take Curb in 30 minutes increments. Watching 6 hours straight would turn me completely misanthropic.

I hear you, Lo, but to me the guy is usually trying to be a good guy, he's just terrible at it. In the first season, he usually gets hammered doing somebody a favor. That, and maybe I've hit an age where I'm developing a bit of a misanthropic streak myself.

I am a big fan of "Curb". There's a lot of improvisation, so sometimes an episode just gets lost and never comes together. Those types of episodes are the exception, though.

I am a big fan of Susie Green. She reminds me of my wife.
