Cubs get Harden and Chad Gaudin from A's

Give up Gallagher, Eric Patterson, Matt Murton, and PTBNL

Not sure whether I like it yet. It all depends on whether Harden can stay healthy. I'm really going to miss Gallagher, the rest of the players were expendable.

Agree - it hurts to give up Gallagher. Patterson, Murton and the Class A catcher (Josh Donaldson) are all blocked by current players (Soto at catcher being the youngest). I like it. If Harden can win 5 to 8 games in the second half, that will be good enough to hold off the Brewers. Chad Gaudin is excellent as well as a throw in.

If Harden stays healthy good trade, never hurts to pitch up pitching help.

If Harden stays healthy, GREAT trade. If he's healthy, he can be the best pitcher in the league.

Problem is, he can NEVER stay healthy.

So far it looks like a win-win trade.

Harden dominated today

Gallagher pitched well yesterday in the win (2 ER) and Murton had 2 RBI yesterday as well.
