The person will manage a team of 14, (6 Sr to mid level developers, 2 web design guys, and 1 Architect and 1 Project Manager and 2 sys admins 2DBA -UNIX AIX-ORACLE). They are looking for a combination of business and tehcnical exp. They are a JAVA and Oracle shop for development and databases (10g). They have huge terabyte size databases that they use to store and transfer data. Would prefer someone with large company type exp but prefers to work for a smaller company and would really like it if this person came up through the software development ranks with some infrastructure knowledge. Will supervise and mentor the IT department , which includes a software architect, several software engineers, web designers, project manager, 2 sys adims, and 2 DBA's. WIll participate in strategic planning, providing business insight as well as accurate technical and sizing information during evaluation of strategic options and manage the company's project portfolio/prioritiies.
