Cruz bill to 100% reinstate military who did not vax

With recruiting way down, the military will need to take any and all of these vets who come back. Some of them will not want to return.

But at least those who don't return will get honorable discharges now.
I imagine any at the 14 or so year mark will return. Get to 20 and retire with the bennies they deserve. Biden et al really tried to screw them and in doing so hurt our military.
 
1. It shouldn't just be military personnel. It should be every federal employee or contractor.

2. In addition to being reinstated, they should all get backpay with interest.

This was a ******** move, and everybody who got screwed by it should be totally made whole.

That was a real screw-up, and I think they forgot who their recruitment pool was. It's largely a bunch of guys from the South and Midwest, and even those who aren't are often from rural and conservative-leaning areas. People from those areas aren't going to be cool with the woke agenda, and you aren't going to attract enough man-bunned, purse-carrying ******* from Portland or San Francisco to make up for it. They haven't got the balls, and they think they're too good for it.

There are 19 million Veterans. many of whom served minimum enlistments. I bet Most of those are not happy with what is going on. I don't blame them

Your comment got me thinking about the Fed employees who got fired for not getting the jab. I tried to find numbers but so far have not.
But Good Grief the number fired all over the places from NPR to NYC is astounding.

The long term ramifications of being "general discharged" from military is more serious
but You are right.

The fewer people employed by the federal government the better. Don't care if they became unemployed due to refusing the jab.

Most federal employees (including Mrs. Deez) just capitulated and got it. They didn't want to lose their jobs. People think it's impossible for a federal employees to get fired, but that doesn't tell the whole story. It's hard to get fired for incompetence or something for which you can play dumb. However, openly defying orders is a big no-no, and there are things for which it's not hard to get fired, and the government made it clear to employees that this was going to be one of them.

You should care. I understand the overall sentiment, but do you really not care? What if the government fired every Christian? Would you be ok with it just because federal employees would lose their jobs? I doubt it.

I think there should be fewer federal employees too, but this was a ******** reason that was a shameful abuse of the federal workforce that crapped all over their personal and health rights. Also, keep in mind that the fired federal employees wouldn't mean fewer federal employees. They would have simply replaced the unjabbed employees with a jabbed ones. It wouldn't have been a cut in the federal workforce.
 
Cutting the federal work force by FORCING people to take the jab or get fired does not seem like an effective way of reducing worthless fed employees

The military recruits come from families that have supported the military for decades, even centuries (Revolutionary War, etc.). Basically they come from folks who have fighting in their blood. WSJ interviewed former Sen Webb of Virginia - he said he heard from these families who told their kindred to not enlist.

Florida
Georgia
Pennsylvania
Alabama
Filipinos from anywhere

Some might argue that the military is disproportionately black, which is likely true. However, are blacks typically hyper-woke? Far less so than white liberals, especially those who join the military. I'm not saying they're hardcore Republicans, but they're probably among the most conservative blacks.

Mostly apathetic and non-political. Probably a higher % of Republican voters and a MUCH higher % of Independent voters than the population at large. Rare is the outspoken liberal Democrat, but they do exist.
 
The military is 17.3% black versus 14% of overall population. I think some see it as providing more opportunity.
I wonder what the percentages are for the last few years? Just guessing it has dropped.
