Cruz batting 7th in NL park

The fact that the pitcher will be hitting 9th...does that make it easier to pitch around Nellie? Granted Murphy's in between, but still...Seems to me like it might be easier to pitch around him.

At least with Napoli 6th, they have to pitch to him. But wouldn't you want them to "have to pitch to Cruz" instead of Nap? I realize you don't fix what ain't broke but the situation is going to be different in St. Louis.

No way should the lineup be shuffled. The top 5 in the lineup are cemented. MY is not only our leading hitter but leads the team in RBI. We should know tonight if LaRussa has anything in mind with pitching around Cruz. If so, I would expect him to be flipped with Napoli for Game 2.
