Crushable hat

I'm not much of a hat wearer, but I'm getting tired of having cancers and precancers cut off my face. Most of my "sun time" would be on vacation, so I need a hat that will travel well. Prefer a fedora or Stetson type with a 3 inch brim to give best sun protection. I've had a couple that touted themselves as "crushable", but lost shape badly after only one packing. Any experienced suggestions appreciated.

Orvis my friend. They have a terrific selection of high quality crushable, packable, felt, fedora's, you name it i promise they've got a hat that will work for you. Not the cheapest but their stuff is very well made.

These look good, although I may pass on the dayglo orange.

Please comment on how well these hats regain their shape after being crushed. I've had a couple that were essentially "yard work hats" after one packing. I prefer a more groomed look when out and about. That happens when you get old and try to make up for wrinkled skin with unwrinkled clothes.
