"So the committee basically has 2 choices to make from 10 teams. I think they will select Michigan St as their 63rd pick as they finished 8-2 and beat Michigan (2), Ohio St, Penn St and Nebraska and has a large fan base. The 64th pick may come down to Michigan who beat Florida, Ohio St and Nebraska and finished 4-6 or Wake Forest who finished 7-3 but beat no one of consequence in non-conferenceACC or Texas who finished 5-5 but has wins over Texas A&M (2), Iowa St, OU, Virginia and California and has a good fan base and played in the toughest conference. My guess : the committee will pick Texas as the 64th team picked. "

The more I think about Creme's analysis the more I think it's got a lot of holes. As someone pointed out he didn't have Texas in last year and we got in. He's got three sites (Bowling Green, Tallahassee, and Norfolk) with no local draws at all. How do you give Kentucky a 2 seed and ship them to Chicago instead of Bowling Green? But the real irksome thing is having 8 teams from the SEC and Big East (the #2 and #3 RPI conferences) and only 6 from the #1 conference. How do you justify 66% of the teams making it from 2 and 3 and only 60% from the toughest conference in the country. Texas deserves to be on the bubble and should feel lucky if they get a bid, but the Big 12 should get 7 teams in.

If they take 7 from the Big 12, Texas & Kansas should be safely in as Ok State played themselves out with the loss to Missouri. I'd even be okay with Kansas & OSU or Kansas & Tech making it. Just because the SEC and Big East have Tennessee and UConn does not make them worthy of 8 bids.
