Cream Puffs SEC-Style

Why does the Big 12 get lambasted for creampuff non-conference schedules while the SEC gets a pass? Look at the SEC's full pate of Southern-Fried Cream Puffs:

Alabama: Tulane, Western Kentucky, Arkansas St.
Arkansas: Western Illinois, Louisiana-Monroe, Tulsa
Auburn: Louisiana-Monroe, Southern Miss, Tennessee-Martin
Florida: Plays a respectable schedule no qualms
Georgia: Georgia Southern, Central Michigan
Kentucky: Norfolk State, Middle Tennessee, Western Kentucky
LSU: Appy State, Troy, North Texas
Ole Miss: Samford, Louisiana-Monroe
Mississippi St: Louisiana Tech, Southeastern Louisiana, Middle Tennessee
South Carolina: Wofford, UAB
Tennessee: UAB, Northern Illinois, Wyoming
Vandy: Miami (OH), Rice

They live off of the "we're the SEC so we're so tough we don't need tough OOC schedules" sometimes. But we do too.

I wouldn't count Southern Miss on that list.

Also, UGA played Okie State and Auburn played KSU last year...Tennessee-Cal too. Look at Bama vs. Clemson.

They mix in some tough wins and ***-kickers too, just like everybody else.

So if your point is they are just like everybody else in OOC schedule I concur. If you are saying they are ducking good competition...disagree.

Louisiana Monroe ready to join the SEC West.

I guess that would mean that Okie State played a marquee SEC team at their place and a down K-State team took on Auburn at their place.

I think the SEC schedules a few semi-high profile non-conference matchups and skates like every other conference with the vast bulk of non-conference matchups vs. creampuffs.

Here's the Big 12's diet of creampuffery this year:
