I dont think they can get the original hoaxer with anything.

However, the morons driving off with his stuff and waving a ******* sheet of paper in his face saying Craigslist says its free, can and will be hit for theft.

If that was me, the .45 I have in my glove compartment would have come out, my **** would have been driven back to my house and put back, or the tires would have been shot out of those fools cars. And I would have been well within my rights to do so.

Well in a turn of better news, it seems police were able to track the IP address of the computer that originally posted the hoax. No word yet on if have an actual suspect.

I have posted three items in the past on Craigslist complete with price, email contact,etc, and all I ever got was the scam "I have a client who's interested in your item, will arrange for pickup"...not one good lead. I will never post on there again.

The only thing that pisses me off about craigslist is the people that pop up when you try to give something for free. People will ask you to hold it until they get out of work, or deliver it. Then they will get mad when you give it away to someone else first.

My fiance was working at a job where her boss started doing some fraudulent ****. (Mortgage Broker). She quit the job when she found something better, and about a month later, while the Xbox 360 craze was going on, she started getting phone calls on her cell phone. Turns out, her ex-boss put an add on Craiglist stating that she was selling a brand new Xbox 360, still in the box, for $300. Even after we reported it, the phone calls to her cell phone continued for a couple of weeks. Had I not been on the bad end of the situation, it would have been pretty damn funny!
