Craig Loston...

Yeah but...even with his supposed recent visit to Austin with mama, is Texas really a player for Loston? He's given the Horns no love for a long time...I wouldn't waste much time hoping for a change of heart on Loston's part.

While I'm not overly optimistic, I don't believe it was a "supposed" visit. And apparently Loston himself listed Texas as one of his 5 official visits so it should be safe to assume that his interest is legitimate.

I would agree with us not getting Loston. Look at the depth chart, with our supposed studs we have already he better be something really special to get in there.

If you choose to spend four (or even three) years in Norman or College Station over Austin you are clueless. Baton Rouge is a fun town, but Austin is every bit as good a town and it is in Texas. If you love the state of Texas you will not leave it.

I went to the Eisenhower/North Shore game on Friday. I watched Loston, Barett Matthew, and Greg Timmons most of the night.

Loston really didn't show me a whole lot. He actually seemed to be sort of out of gas for much of the second half. I know he play on O some too, but still. Timmons was solid, had a couple big catches. Matthews looked the best out of all three of them. Great blocking and great hands all night. Looking forward to seeing him here next year.

I doubt anyone on our roster scares Loston. OU and LSU have as much as we do. He will go where he wants. We were not one of his faves growing up, but at least he is giving us a chance. He will play anywhere he goes and he probably knows it (if his high school coach has any brains).

i talked to him a couple days after the northshore game...

he told me where he was leaning most, and i said, "you should think about going to schools that put DBs in the league. they've had one DB in the first round, and not many other DBs go to the league other than that."

he said he wasn't going to say where he was going, but probably LSU...

of course, this week, he is allegedly considering A&M.

apparently, playing time as a freshman is coveted.

personally, i don't think it'll be a&m... i'm keeping an eye on the fedex trucks in the area.
