Craig Loston

LSU, A&M and Clemson battle.

Committed to Clemson, but has camped at A&M and LSU.

LSU is said to lead.

from Orangebloods
Five-star safety Craig Loston was in Austin last weekend for a visit with his mother.

We're still trying to get in touch with Loston, who is still technically committed to Clemson, for an update but a couple people close to his recruitment have confirmed that he made a stop by the Forty Acres.

This is obviously a very interesting development and we'll stay on top of the story and pass along more information as it becomes available.

Translation - with the high cost of gas on the lake, Ketch realized he needs new subscribers if he is going to be the life of Devil's Cove.

This time, looks like there may be fire from the smoke. Maybe the LSU/Clemson lure is fading on some of the Houston area kids. Good to see.

Is correct, its the annual Ketch needs more money time, so you get an article on Shep and Loston in back to back weeks.

Ketch does this crap every year. I used to buy into it. I remember when Ketch said late in the year that Texas was starting to be a major player in the Joe McKnight sweepstakes.

Eventually one of these kids will sign w/ UT (who knows, maybe it will be Loston, we already have Timmons and playing for Akina /Muschamp should be a good deal), and when it does, all Ketch's acolytes will say - see he's not just selling Kool-Aid. News about recruiting, beyond player evaluations and notice of commitments is pretty worthless.

I have never subscribed to Orangebloods, but the way some of you guys talk about his information, man some of you must have gotten really burned.
Is there another service out there that gives more accurate recruiting info?
How does Jerry S. rate?
Thanks.

Bishop,
I don't think Ketch intentionally burns people. He's a good guy. He does post a lot of teasers to try to get subscribers, but who can blame him for that? It's his business and he wants to grow it.

The reason I think recruiting info is totally worthless is that it is based entirely on conversations an 18 year old kid has with some guy over the phone, or on hearsay, rumor, and other speculation. It's gossip, at the very heart of it. So other than hard info such as camp performance data and actual verbal commitments, it's all BS. Just my opinion.

"I don't know why he hates Texas."

That was before he committed to Clemson - and from a source more reliable than OB.

Not that things can't change, I'm just saying.

Texas and LSU would be smarter choices for many reasons...

What the heck. If he and his mom want to visit, I say come on over and take a look. I'm more encouraged that he came with his mom. I'm sure MB impressed his mom if nothing else. What is the downside to having he and his mom have some quality time in Austin? I'd rather have them come and look and then say no, then not come at all.

As a orangebloods subscriber I have not observed any "sensationalism" on the site. I am somewhat confuserd by your accusations. Perhaps you could give some specific examples.

Look at all the DB's Akina has put into the NFL, look at the DB tradition at Texas, look at how successful Muschamp's defense's are. Those things are hard to ignore.

Anybody know if he's giving the Horns any more love after the visit than before? I know...I'm too cheap to buy a subscription to any of the services. I'm not holding my breath on this one, but it would be nice to change his mind.
