Craig James just will not go away!

And his hypocracy still knows no bounds. A Republican appealing to a government bureaucracy to help him fight the decision of a private business.

1) I guess the rights of a private enterprise to hire and fire as it chooses has its limits.... At least when it comes to Craig James...
2) The Texas Workforce Commission has better things to do with its time than help this wealthy, connected, brat.
3) This is a sports network and they had to take the TTU fiasco into account.

What a ******* *******.

No one is stopping you from speaking your beliefs its just the matter of how others view them and when your a public figure its a crap shoot. Either confirm or don't have a job.

Publicity stunt. What better way to draw more Republican voters to your side (in future plans) than try to create a national news story spotlighting your supposed unfair treatment due to your strong beliefs in opposing gay marriage? The flavor of the week political topic at the moment. Not saying I'm pro or con with the subject of gay marriage or the Republican Party, just saying I'm anti-Craig "Douche" James. Just go away, Pony Boy.

I don't know about gay marriage, but James sure didn't object to unlimited welfare benefits for his SMU team during his playing days.

Maybe C James could hire Leach (who is or was a lawyer) to represent him? I'd watch that episode of Court TV!

he is a piece of crap and I have hated him since he was cheating at SMU
But
I do believe Fox fired him for his position on marriage and gay marriage
and I wonder how this is different than a bakery being forced to bake a wedding cake .
he doesn't deserve this to be heard but if we believe in equality then maybe he has a right to pursue this.
God I hate having to defend him, he is a worthless POS

how this is different than a bakery being forced to bake a wedding cake .

Really?
Baking a cake is just performing a service.
You are not stating one way or the other what you believe personally.
James is/was a public figure and his personal opinions matter when it comes to audience ratings and $ paid by sponsors.
Apples and oranges.

mmondog?
Really?
you commented
"Baking a cake is just performing a service.

do you really not know about the bakeries who refuse to bake a wedding cake for a gay couple since the bakers " personally" felt marriage was only between a man and a woman, according to whatever religion they believed in?

and you don't see the refusal as stating personally what you believe?

Craig James is still a POS

I never liked Craig James, especially after the TTU fiasco. However, I do think his firing was probably based, in large part, to a stance he took that is, unfortunately, politically incorrect. Fox Sports acted cowardly and out of fear. It was total knee-jerk. It's sad that a person had to defend themselves in the workplace after expressing a belief that is held by so many in the general population. The homosexual agenda is now one of forced acceptance. It's really sad.

don't you sorta think understanding James does have the right to seek this case, based on what we know at the moment is like agreeing the person who speaks out in what most people consider the vilest way has a right to free speech?
You hate what was said but understand that we all have the right of freedom of most speech
so I guess does the POS james have his rights

Mich
if I said the sunwas shining in dallas today would you dispute that too?

take a deep breath and reread my post. Most people would see the point that as much as one may dislike a persons words OR positions we far more support the rights we have.
I used the freedom of speech example as that is one that frequently is misunderstood and is sometimes hard to defend a loathsome person's use of it
Mich read this again and show me where I said James' case was about freedom of speech
from my post

and BTW the sun IS shining in dallas today.

Yes Horn, I do. His freedom of speech is not necessarily violated, but the network is going after him because of his remarks. I do believe that. And, as stated earlier, it was a cowardly move to pacify the PC crowd. It's a perfect example of the militancy of the liberal thought police. And, yes, I do think he has some legal recourse. Not being an attorney, I cannot address all of the legalities. I can, however, speak to the absurd and intolerant nature of those who made the decision to fire him. It's a reflection on society's (mostly the left) bullying tactics used against those that espouse traditional, conservative ideological philosophies. As Horn pointed out; look at all the really vile crap that celebs spew with very little consequence. Sure, there are a few exceptions, but not many.

The homosexual agenda is clear. Those who do not fall in line with their way of thinking, embrace their lifestyle, and openly support their marriage initiatives are targeted. The media has become a willing accomplice. Craig James is a victim of that nonesense.

Horn,
Yes, I get that.
What I'm saying is if they bake that cake, even if they disagree, nobody else knows what their opinion is.
Life and business goes on.

Everybody knew what James's opinion was and it reflected upon his employer and their ability to make money.

The baker would be discriminating against the gay couple every bit as much as a drycleaner not doing business with blacks because he doesn't want to handle their clothes.

moondog
You would be correct IF the bakers hadn't made their reason known for refusing to bake gay wedding cakes

but several bakeries have refused .
How is that sifferent?

BTW one bakery has been ordered by a judge to bake the wedding care for the gay couple
