CPA Peer Review

Are there any CPAs here that work for themselves? My wife is starting and she is concerned about a peer review. Several of my friends who do this work say they don't bother, but they are not the type of person who I would trust with a business decision.

There is apparently a chance she could have her license revoked if she does not complete one per year if she provides bookkeeping or compilation services, which she does.

Any help?

I'm a part owner of a local CPA firm in Austin that goes through Peer Review. In addition, my wife's a CPA in private industry, who is trying to start some work on the side. We called the TX Society of CPA's and spoke to the Legal Dept. about this issue. PM me to discuss.
