Cowboys sign Zach Thomas

so now we have akin, burnett, carpenter and thomas competing for the same spot. there will be some tough cuts in training camp.

Some talk (I know the rumor mill is getting started now that it's combine time) that we are shopping Akin.
They can cut Bobby now. Let him go and sign with the dolphins. Think we can talk BP into a trade? He did use a 1st on him here.

Being A Dolphin season ticket holder(Pauses for laughter) He is loved and missed herer.Hopefully he has a chance at something special there. Not A cowboys fan but he deserves a legit shot at something great before he hangs it up.

Whoever isn't high on this move is just plain stupid. Not only do you get an All-Pro LB, but you get him for next to nothing. $1 mil is pocket-change and doesn't hurt the cap hardly at all even if he does reach his incentives.

Another thing to watch for between now and the draft is a trade between the Cowboys and the Falcons for DeAngelo Hall. Hall desperately wants out of ATL and they are wanting to clean house and rebuild. Dallas needs another CB. I'd give up a 2nd rounder for him.

What this does is free the Cowboys up to make the deal Bill's been waiting for...

They can trade BobbyC, one 1st, and one 3rd for the Dolphins #1 pick. Bill knows talent when he sees it, and now he can have Bobby on his team again.

Cowboys are deep at LB. Carpenter doesnt even start. Her was a first round pick. I don't really see the need for another linebacker.

If you don't think Zach Thomas can help your team (any team), then you don't have a clue about football. He's still a good player, and a great role model for the younger players. He'll make Dallas better period.

To say that the Cowboys are deep at LB is true, but to justify it by saying that they are so deep that Bobby Carpenter (a 1st rounder) doesn't even start for them makes me laugh. I am cowboys season ticket holder and I can't stand the fact that we wasted a 1st rounder on this guy.

Every team misses on picks in at some point in the draft. Parcells certainly drafted better than Jones did prior to his arrival.
