Personally, I am very disappointed with Seattle being the Thanksgiving Day opponent. We travel down from Minnesota and go to the game every year, and I am so sick of the NFL screwing this thing up lately. We have played the Jets and the Bucs the past two years on Turkey Day. Give us an opponent with some star power or at least a little history w/ the Cowboys.

The best game I have seen on Thanksgiving in that stadium was against the Redskins several years ago (Spurrier's first year). Both teams weren't worth a damn, but at least there was some added appeall to the game. Spurrier calling Dallas out at his hiring annoucement press conference certainly added to the fun of beating them that day. They played that video a couple times on the jumbotron. Pretty fun stuff that got everyone pretty pumped. I don't see opponents like Seattle, NYJ, TB, or even Denver creating that kind of buzz. Maybe it's just me.

will basically have to run out of the stadium to get to a local pub to catch kickoff of the reckoning against aggy that will be going down at 7:00 that night. Would have been nice to have the Cowboys kick off at the noon slot to give fellow Cowboys/Longhorns fans a little time to breath and switch their gameday attire between games!

I know I am all over my
soapbox.gif
, but please note that the Cowboys will be closing the doors on the storied Texas Stadium against the Baltimore f'ing Ravens. Give me a break---did they just draw names out of a hat?!?

EDIT: Good point about the home playoff game, DJ. Should have at least 1-2 games at Texas Stadium after that barn burner against the Ravens.

playoff games.

And about Seattle on Turkey day....Seattle has won their division the last 4 years....it's not like they are pushovers.

I never said they were pushovers.

Too bad they could not have had that Steelers game be at home on Thanksgiving. That is what I am talking about.

He's probably talking more about "traditional" type matchups like the divisional opponents or the Steelers but I don't want to put words in his mouth.

I too am surprised at only on MNF game. But more than that, I'm surprised that single game is in September instead of November. The Boys almost always draw the biggest MNF numbers and for ESPN not to have them on "in book" (sweeps) seems really odd.

DMN.com is claiming that the game against the NYG on 11/2 in the capital of the free world was done for "Sweeps week". Regarding the lack of MNF games at the end of the year, keep an eye out for flex scheduling changes that come up in December.

And yep, I was looking for more of a traditional opponent on T-Day.

They haven't flexed Monday night games in the past. Too hard on fans making travel plans. Unless they've changed that for this season, which I haven't heard.

Monday night is no longer the glamor prime-time match up. Sunday Night is. NBC would not have bought the package without having the flexibility of cherry-picking relevant games late in the season.

Cleveland is playing on Monday night 3 times this year. That should tell you that Monday night is the prime time dog.

Cool thing is that VY and the Titans play the early Thanksgiving game vs. Detroit and Roy. It'll be a long day of football....my wife is gonna hate me. Hook'em!

well, 1, i wouldn't actually watch it on my monitor and two,for a game or two a year, it beats the alternative. of course, i don't need 50 inches of plasma to watch sunday football and play madden in my pacman jersey, so it may be a moot point.

im sure you guys know that there is a shitload of sites out there where you can stream this game (and any other game) without any of that buffering bs. hell, ive been able to watch pretty much any spurs game i wanted to this year by streaming nba league pass.

How do they and the Patriots get such an easy schedule, talk about trying to setup a Super Bowl.

I see the Cowboys losing at most 6 games and then the first playoff game.

how is playing at Green Bay (never won there) AND at Pitt, plus the tough divisional road games, an easy schedule?
