Cowboys Rumors: Ezekiel Elliott Traveling to Cabo Amid Contract Holdout

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley’s contract a weight dragging down negotiations around the NFL

He’s scheduled to make $3.9M this year and $9.1M next year. He wants a deal like Todd Gurley a contract for 4 years $57M with $45M guaranteed. The Cowboys have made an extension offer, but amount is undisclosed. So, EE is off to Cabo.

Jerry Jones has said “you don’t need a rushing champion to win a supper bowl.” Per CBS 11

He has 2 years left on his deal and with as much trouble as this dude gets into I’d call his bluff let him sit and watch that $40,000 per day no show fee add up.

You may not NEED one, but it sure helps make the path a lot easier...to say nothing of not having to DEFEND against one that the OTHER team might possess...

The first rushing champion to win a super bowl was Emmitt Smith. The last one was Terrell Davis in '98. The 90s were the only decade to have one.

The truth is you don't need a "rushing champion," but doesn't mean you don't need a good running game. Still, having a great QB is a better bet for winning one. It's like "game manager" QBs. They rarely win super bowls.
