tough to disagree with what you just posted, however every team in the league could do the same analysis and see who they coulda/shoulda/woulda drafted.
Fasano wasn't a wasted pick. He made the team and played. That's more than you can say for some of Big Bill's second round picks. This move is a salary dump that nets the first pick of the fourth round
As far as Carpenter goes, let's not write him off yet. He's been swioched from outside to inside, back out then inside again. He's much faster than Ayodele. Bradie James seemed like a wasted pick for his first two years in the league. Then he was a below average starter for a year and now he's a pretty productive player.
Having the first pick in the fourth round gives the Cowboys some options in this draft -- where there will be value at WR, Corner, inside linebacker and TE through the middle and late rounds.
Tuna never was the talent evaluator that Jimmy Johnson was. Dallas won't miss Fasano or Ayodele, but might pick up a good player with a high fourth round pick. It will be interesting to watch the South Beach Cowboys this coming year...sorta like going to a B team game.
