Courtney Paris and Cat Osterman

I think Courtney Paris made the wrong decision by going to OU. She could have gone anywhere she wanted and would probably have 3 titles by now.

Even though it hurts me to say this, CAT made the wrong choice by coming to TEXAS. Had OU or BU even Mizzou landed CAT, they would have won an NC because of their hitters.

They are both excellent athletes that happen to be in the wrong time or system when they graduated high school. I think if we had delayed CAT's graduation and was at TEXAS now, the team would be doing a lot better and maybe could win an NC, but those years that she was here......we were in desperate need of hitters.

Cat knew she would be a Horn in 4th grade. There was never another choice for her.

Cat wanted to come here from the beginning. She no doubt could have gone to UCLA or Arizona and got an NC. We just didn't recruit enough hitters to help her. A great pitcher can keep you in the game but you have to have good defensive play by others and have hitters that get in the runs. We never could get the hitters and we had pleanty of time to do so since she sat out one year for the olympics. We lost out on an opportunity here.

You ever think that someone wanted to go to school where you could begin the tradition? Cat, is the first at Texas, she would one of dozens at some of those other schools.

Think of the Iconic value of being the first for her in 10 years? Versus being one of a dozen at another school?

She grew up a Longhorn and Women's softball is the only women's sport that I go out of my way to watch./
