Coupling

I've seen all the episodes - very funny, and very well written. I like how they're able to put together stories that make absolutely no sense and seem totally random when they start but by the end of the show everything's been pulled together.

And yes, Sarah Alexander is in fact hot. Too bad her U.S. sitcom was so horrible that it didn't make it out of the first season.

Lesbian Spank Inferno. Is it porn or erotica?

Wow. I was actually going to start a thread asking the same question. Really witty show. Sarah Alexander is indeed hot. I like Gina Bellman too because she's insane. Jeff is hilarious too. Actually, they're all pretty damn funny.

all of you please surrender your man card. a hot woman is not reason enough to sit through a crap television series.

thank you,
homer.
sergeant-at-arms.
the man police.

Are you talking about the American or British version? This thread is about the British version, which is hilarious. The America version lasted like, 3 episodes and was the antithesis to funny.

I am talking about BBC's Coupling as talked about by the OP and the rest in the thread. (I know better than to watch an American adaptation of a sitcom that lasted less than a season).

The show did absolutely nothing for me. But then again, I feel that American Office is superior to British Office. And, more importantly to this thread, I dislike Friends and other "comedies" of it's type.

I think it is a fantastic show.

The episode where Jane arrives at a dinner party wearing nothing but a raincoat is one of my favs. The little girl in the next flat gives her a Babie dress to wear.

Steve accidentally seeig Sally's bottom when she sneaks in to take a shower because her's is broken.

Steve's utter panic and Wallter Mitty type fantasies when Susan asks him to pick a fabric for their new sofa.

I would not call homer an idoit, after all he is responsible for the Iliad, Odyssey, and "if the Bible has taught us nothing else, and it hasn't, it's that girls should stick to girls sports, such as hot oil wrestling and foxy boxing and such and such."

But on this point, he is dead wrong. British Coupling was smart and funny. Good tv.

seriously? everyone likes this crap? my good friend who i share a lot of TV interest with also loves it. i don't know -- but this show just doesn't do it for me.

anyway, i am hoping this is more about self-selective posting rather than 100% (minus me) liking this show.

SPOILER--SPOILER--SPOILER

Come on, the guy tells the hot girl that he as an artificial leg to get sympathy (He knows her brother lost a leg too), forgetting that if he gets her into bed she will realize he is a liar. So this hot girl is throwing herself at the horny, homely guy but he has to keep turning her down so she won't find out the secret. That's funny.

SPOILER--SPOILER--SPOILER

have watched t here and there for years. the breakup episode where the girls head to the parlor and the boys head to the establishment is the best. "No Jeffrey, no one's ever phoned me before."

I'm a big fan of the show.

The episode with Giselle and Dick Darlington is very well-written and f'n hilarious.

KERA ran an all night marathon on new years eve a few years back--porn buddies, nudity buffer, ear bucket, captain subtext.
