Coulda, Shoulda, Woulda

Some good work by Horns today over a seriously under-manned SHSU team....sometimes I wish we'd play a few less cupcakes before Big 12, but I guess it is good practice...but a tad boring!

I wish Kristen Nash were given more playing time. She is such a hustler, and a scrapper, and has more basketball sense that 95% of the rest of the team...She should have gotten a written guarantee from GG about her playing time before she agreed to come back...
She stepped up when the Horns needed her, but I hope Coach G does not treat her like a 2nd class citizen now that she is back busting her butt again...she scored a double-double today, and that was with virtually NO practices this year at all....if AM had not been nursing a sore ankle, I doubt she would have gotten as much playing time....wake up, Coach G....don't make her regret her decision!! We need all 3 posts!!

Yeah, I think Kristen was just a bit winded. She was using her inhaler a couple of times after coming off the floor. She just needs time to build up her stamina again, and she'll be fine!!

Kristen Nash was outstanding today along with Kathleen Nash. C.Fussell continue to be just a Outstanding freshman. I have not seen a player make a statement on the program every since Tiffany Jackson. I like how we push the ball, but I did not like the turnover number though.

Kristen has been getting increased minutes every game. My thoughts were that she would get around 10-15 minutes a game while helping Anne Marie learn. Ashley will be playing around 30 minutes a game unless she is in foul trouble and she has done a great job most games staying out of foul trouble.

Kristen coming back was great on her part and really provides depth in the post. And that is the key. She provides experienced depth in the post. She has played in every game since she has come back and is averaging just under 10 minutes a game, including 15 against SHSU. She will be a big help against Griner and in other matchups. I doubt that she will regret coming back, regardless of how many minutes she plays. I don't think that number of minutes was her impetus for coming back as much as helping out the team and playing with her sister.
