Cosmi, Stearns & Ingram

I’ve been thinking a lot about these three young men ever since they made their announcements that they were going to opt out.

And all I can come up with is this: if I were their mother, I would’ve told them, “No. You made a commitment to your team and your school. You’re not opting out. You’re playing.”

Yes, integrity. Commitment. Teamwork.

They will regret this one day, no doubt. I said this before,,,, at a get together years from now they will be sheepish around the team.
Two are captains, unreal.

You know a top pick playing in the Independence Bowl.... I dunno maybe. Probably not. But...
1. During the season.
2. As a Captain.
No way.

Thanks to Sam, Joesph, TaQuan and Derek for showing integrity.

I keep hearing Ingram opted out but also keep hearing his injury is really season ending so is he really an opt out or just a injury out. A lot of talk about him transferring but he hasn’t said a word about that and it wouldn’t be first time Chip just straight up quoted his own speculation as fact.

Kerstter's injury today could have been Cosmi, a projected first round pick.
Sometimes you have to look after your own interests.
I have to agree. They aren’t playing for anything more than a better a bowl (that honestly we the fans could prob care less about). Let the other guys play some too. I honestly think the team plays better without the malcontents.
Also, if you are talking about first round talent, then your taking about money that can change the lives of your kids and your grandkids.....

Yea. Me, me, me. If these self-serving individuals are captains I think we have found a big part of the problem with the team this year. I personally would like to replay the SEASON without them.

I do think they could have been part of the problem...but part of Herman’s job was to manage them differently and that is where he failed.

I agree. The team played very loose but focused today.

That's a big "IF" there. I don't see Cosmi as a first rounder. The other two haven't exactly set the world on fire. Ingram has ball control issues, but if he transfers someone might snatch him up. Also if Ingram transfers, it's most likely because Bijan is the up and coming on strong, running back. In three seasons, Sterns has 5 pics, 111 combined tackles, 2 sacks and 8 PBUs. But, if Ingram and Sterns believe can do better somewhere else, then go for it.

Exactly.
If we beat ISU then they are still playing and trying to win a CC.

I'm just saying Cosmi could have been injured same as DK. Not necessarily the same play

And he could have gotten hurt in a car accident diving to HEB at halftime because he wasn't playing.

I've never believed in saying because someone else got hurt he could have been hurt so it was a good decision for him to sit out. He could have had a career ending injury on any play of his career.
