i will be going to corpus christi next week (28th) for 3-4 days with a few of my buddies (all in their early 20s). ive never really spent much time there. anyone got any recommendations on what to do, where to eat/drink/party, beaches down the coast? i know there isnt a whole hell of a lot to do in the city but anything will help, i cant find much on the interweb.

we are staying at the omni and will have a car.

If the Corpus Christi Hooks (Houston Astro's AA baseball team) are playing that is something to do.
The stadium is bad ***, the tickets are cheap, and it located very close to your hotel.

B&J's pizza - very good pizza and a stellar imported beer inventory....no chicks, but a good place to start the night.

My old hangout downtown was Dr. Rockits Blues Bar, which is as close to a 6th street blues hangout as you will find, with live blues seven nights a week and drink specials. The Link

The Executive Surf Club downtown also has live music, and pretty good and unique burgers and salads. Water Street Oyster Bar next door to the Surf Club has excellent mesquite grilled seafood, and is an icon in the area.

Snoopy's is good.

If you had some younger kids with y'all, you could go check out the Aquarium and the Lexington. Both are worth a couple hours or so of entertainment.

Dr. Rockitts is a pretty good place for Corpus but it is severely overpriced. I have a problem paying $11 for a pitcher of Shiner when there is also a $7 cover charge. In Corpus.

For Memorial Day weekend however, there will be some local "talent" in there back home from college. And that can sometimes make the prices worth it.

A Corpus thread would not be complete without mentioning Boat n Net. They also have a drive up for your convenience, just yell your order into the PVC pipe.
