A couple of weeks ago Gov. DeWine (R-OH) was here in Cleveland to be with Pres. Trump for a fundraiser. He was given the PCR test and tested positive. He immediately left and went to Columbus. He, his wife and his staff all went to Ohio State Univ hospital and received another test (excuse me I'm not sure which one) and everyone one tested negative just hours after the White House tested them! They then turned around and got tested the next 3 days the same way as a precaution and again they all tested negative.
 
It typically takes US gov 6 months to get things worked out in response to a shock to the system (think response to an attack or war or natural disaster). We are getting close to that 6 month period. The next 6 months should be a period of consolidation of previous learnings that are implemented with effect. By end of 12 months (March, 2021), we will be rolling with faster tests (in home?), better reporting, better and more PPE, better epidemiology (herd immunity?), better treatments (antibody?), and multiple vaccines.

Test data from Quest and other testers that were coded improperly. Test results for large counties are likely redundant as they have resources to sort through the mess. Smaller counties rely on state data for their reported results.

Article in Chron today detailed the 500k backlog in tests that the state is trying to process. I don’t think you can accurately know the drop in cases for rest of August. Better proxy would be ICU beds

Hospitalizations are going down so much that Texas DSHS doesn't want to use these numbers anymore to characterize the situation. But of course that was all they could talk about when the numbers were bad.

Texas DSHS is a corrupt organization. Abbott is either too stupid to see through their deception or too actively involved in it. Time to get rid of him.

 
Well my ShadowGate was long and this one is longer but holy smokes! If you’ve read about Plandemic you know what this is, if not sit back and try to make it through without losing it. I’m selling off my Microsoft, never realized just what a horses’ a** Bill Gates was/is.

I'm a former medic in the USAF I know the benefits of plasma. But if scientists (the ones who know) say that evidence is thin that it works why not study it more instead of politicizing it? Its Trumps MO.
 
Could you point to anything during this crisis where scientists were correct? Ventilators, masks, gloves, transmission, and treatment have all been screwed up by the expert scientists.

It’s called risk management. If it helps only a little why not try it. There is little downside. Besides I read one recent study likely to be quoted today that says it does help statistically (but needs to be administered early).

I agree...but my point in all of this is Trumps politicizing it to make himself look good. He knows as much about the coronavirus as he knows how to be an astronaut.

You have your arguments that alot of things have been screwed up from the beginning. And I totally agree. There is a small chance (good if it works) that this works. But again its Trump all over again. Just like the hydroxychloroquine. That was a bunch of crap but HE took it and it works great!!

It is strange to me for the “experts” to come out so vehemently about the drug. It has been used for years although not on Covid. I think the “experts” should have focused on washing hands and good health habits like making sure your Vitamin D levels are appropriate. Finally, they should have recommended strict quarantine of the elderly and health compromised. Rather than do this, they actually placed them in greater danger by sending sick patients back to nursing homes. Then they recommended healthy people lose their jobs by making them stay home and forcing businesses to close.

These “experts” are the problem. I could care less what they think about Hydroxychloroquine.

We are still waiting on definitive studies about HCQ when taken early.

Honestly I would have to see the data before believing him (just my opinion)

He is a master manipulator with the media. Just as Pelosi is. He stretches things more than stating facts. Just like Pelosi, the only 2 things spitting out of her mouth are lies and her teeth.
