Thank Goodness. No more driving to get a test

Cases would be falling faster if not for backlogs in CA and TX (probably 5k per state per day). I think there are only 3 states of significance not falling now: MO, IL, and IN (wait 2 more weeks). As pointed out in Random Offseason News in On the Field, even Midwest states like OH are 2 weeks beyond post-peak.

CoronaVirus is fading in the news cycle. More and more people are catching it with no symptoms resulting in less actual fear. Bad news for democrats, they need America to be sick, scared and poor.

University of North Carolina brought undergrads back to campus two weeks ago. Now, because of a spike in Covid, they're sending undergrads back home and they will finish the semester online.

I guess they don't want Mack Brown's football team to be endangered!

Just a week after bringing undergraduates back to campus, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is sending them home again. After a spike in COVID-19 cases, leadership announced that undergraduate classes will move online for the rest of the semester. Theyre spinning up plans to reduce the density in on-campus housing.

Link not working for me. Are they sending them home or just cancelling in-room classes?

The cases are dropping dramatically here in Ohio. It got pretty bad at one point (nothing like Texas of course) but it has made a huge swing. We did have a short stint like Texas with ICU beds being overwhelmed but as the numbers indicate in the last few weeks there have only been a few cases going into the ICU here in Cleveland.

There's more: as BofA also points out, "we continue to see clear signs the Coronavirus is rolling over in the US as the number of people hospitalized due to COVID-19 declines at a rapid pace of about one percent a day (26% in 23 days)."

Extrapolating, this rate of decline means that there could be zero Covid-related hospitalizations around the Nov 3 election day, a feat that if marketed properly, could mean the difference for Trump between victory and defeat.

Article claiming "the WHO primer sequences in the PCR test for SARS-CoV-2 is found in all human DNA"

"The sequence “CTCCCTTTGTTGTGTTGT” is an 18-character primer sequence found in the WHO coronavirus PCR testing protocol document. The primer sequences are what get amplified by the PCR process in order to be detected and designated a “positive” test result. It just so happens this exact same 18-character sequence, verbatim, is also found on Homo sapiens chromosome 8. As far as I can tell, this means that the WHO test kits should find a positive result in all humans. ..."

BOMBSHELL: WHO Coronavirus PCR Test Primer Sequence is Found in All Human DNA

Article in Chron today detailed the 500k backlog in tests that the state is trying to process. I don’t think you can accurately know the drop in cases for rest of August. Better proxy would be ICU beds
