Coolest Thing This Evening!

I was tailgating after the game at Fantasy Island and the parking lot was getting empty. Kudos for the Agnors for making sure the Army folks/parents were taken care of all weekend long by providing food etc. The team bus for Army pulled over to the tailgate and we all gathered around the bus, applauding these young men. They got off their bus to show their appreciation and we in turn lined up and shook every one of their hands and wished them luck. As I thanked the Army players, each one used "thank you ma'am."

It was sobering to think that the Seniors on this baseball team are just beginning their 5 years and will be deployed in Iraq or Afganistan. I wish them Godspeed.

That is so cool! Thank you for sharing. I heart the Agnors but don't tell them. They will get all cocky and stuff.

Thank you for sharing the Texas cheer. It's very sobering to think that the Senior's will be going from playing baseball to fighting for our country. God bless.

Thanks SO MUCH to Don J. for getting that idea and making it happen. Of course, it would not have happened without the pure class of the West Point players and coaches.

I know that I will remember this regional for a LONG time and that it will be because of Army, it's players, it's coaches and it's fans as much as it will be for the two extraordinary games on Saturday and Sunday.

Great vibe all weekend. When BC was eliminated yesterday afternoon, the texas fans who were already there gave the eagles a really nice ovation.

I must say that I was very impressed by us this weekend. BC and Army fans were gushing over how they were treated, and that's something that we take for granted sometimes, since it's just how we are. Seeing their reaction just reminds me of why I love The University.

I think Army just became most Longhorn Baseball fans second favorite baseball team.

Go Army!! & Hook 'em Horns!!

I was also able to greet the Black Knights. Each of them came off the bus, gave a fist or chest bump, and thanked us for taking care of their parents. Real class. As a retired military officer, I have some idead what is ahead of them.

Also thnaks to Robert and Katy for setting up this opportunity.

Greeting the players and staff after the game when the bus drove to the tailgate was truly an experience I'll never forget! Army should forever be proud of both their efforts in the game(s) and their outlooks about life in general. God bless the USA and USMA!!!
