Cool San Antonio Hotels

I can't remember the name of the place I stayed in almost ten years ago. It was a cool little boutique hotel with a cigar bar on the bottom floor.

Any suggestions? I need to host some "high-end" clients in early March.

Thanks!

I would recommend the Westin in La Cantera. There is also a nice golf course nearby as well (they host the Texas Open ever year).

If they wanna stay downtown on the Riverwalk, I'd recommend the Hotel Valencia. Its pretty sweet.

The Valencia is without a doubt the best place to stay on the Riverwalk. If you book through Hotels.com you can usually get a room for $200/night. Well worth the price for the very high quality and unbeatable location.

I will be thrilled if we make the Big 12 Championship this year.

Menger is a pretty sweet hotel. Teddy Roosevelt evidently organized the Rough Riders in that bar, or something like that.

There is a new Watermark hotel downtown that is the only 4 star hotel in the city I believe. Good restaurant on the river level.

My understanding is that the Watermark is the nicest hotel in town.

We have stayed at La Mansion a few times and most recently a few months ago. They have completely redone it. It is a top-notch hotel now in the rooms (the rooms were not that great about 1-2 years ago).

We stayed at Valencia for the Alamo Bowl and that was a nice hotel as well (very modern).

Look at Hotel Contessa on the Riverwalk as well.

All of my company's clients and VPs now stay here. Our company has done many functions at both Valencia and Contessa and Contessa is the favorite.

The rooms are all suites, the view is beautiful, and there is a spa if you have any clients that are women.

Valencia is good and does have a nice bar as well.

La Mansion is very nice too since renovations have taken place and a lot of the visiting NBA teams stay here during the season.

Can't go wrong with any of those really.

havana inn is a great hotel with a great bar. valencia and contessa are both great choices, both nicer and newer than the havana, and both have nice lounge/bars.

I recently stayed at the Havana. The bar downstairs is cool, but the service at the hotel pretty much sucks. I'd stay at the Valencia or La Mansion.
