Cooking with Beer

As I was drinking a Shiner Hefeweizen I noticed how on the side of the bottle it said, "Make a great marinate." Has anyone tried it out on a steak? If so, what all did you do? Also, what other recipes do y'all have beer as an ingredient? I've used beer for frying shrimp but that's all I know. Thanks in advance.
 
Problem is, by the time it's done, I don't care what it tastes like.

I use beer as part of an overnight marinade for grilled (bone in) chicken.

Everyone that has ever tried it likes it.

I've used beer in bread recipes, batter, marinade, soups, dips, etc.

Amazingly enough, I hate drinking beer by itself. LOL. (well not all beers, there are some German beers that I like-just can't get them here)
