Contador wins Giro d'Italia

Back to back grand tour wins for Alberto Contador (formerly of Discovery and now with Astana). It sucks that he and is formitable team and director sportif Johan Bruneel are not invited to this year's Tour de France.

If you live in Austin, you can see a bike he rode during last year's Tour de France at Mellow Johnny's bike shop.

Contador is really something. Fun to watch.

Too bad Levi and him wont be riding the TDF this year.

I envy his high cadence and explosive climbing abilities. Its a dang shame Astana was black listed by the Tour even though they have a completely different cast of management and riders.

I'd bet Astana is being blacklisted as much for the governing body's f-up letting them in to the TdF last year, as well as an indictment on the current ex-Postal machine that took it over.
