Connor Wood or Case McCoy

Well, we arent going to have to worry about it for 2 or 3 seasons but who is going to transfer? It's going to be a Colt/Jevan situation again. I'm not for platooning qb's. I really dont know much about either qb but people that I know that saw Connor play were not too impressed this past year. Maybe he (Connor) never cuts it. Maybe some superstud QB comes in next year and we dont have to worry about it.

Connor will be the starter in 2/3 years in the NC game.

I think having an quality, experienced back-up QB who is ready to step in at any point is probably just an overrated luxury that we can live without. I mean, seriously when would you ever need that?

I think the fact that we had 2 Qb's transfer and one switch positions shows that kids aren't satisfied with paying their dues, and only starting (maybe) their Sr. year. Every player wants to play. (preferable at a big time program). Plus QB is different from other positions. A backup at every other position can expect to get a few snaps a game, maybe as much as 50% of them. A backup QB may never see the field all season. It is very possible that one of Colt or Connor may trasnfer. It's also possible they are both committed to the program much like Nordgren and Sherrod.

I'm hoping one of them is good enough to come in and push GG for the starting job. Why should GG have the job locked up at this point in his career?

He'll have Sherrod Harris to push him too. GG knows whats up. He's following one of the all time UT greats. He will have plenty of incentive to prove that he is just as good, or better, than Colt was. Just like Colt had plenty of motivation to prove he was just as good as Vince. Plus, after the MNC game, I have a feeling GG wants to prove he can lead a team to a MNC.

I hope Sherrod gets a chance to back-up. Great dude.

It truly has to be frustrating to be playing at a great school but then again not being able to get a chance to showcase your talent due to the extreme talent surrounding you. Possibly he pulls a Chiles and changes positions for a chance to hit the field?

Conner is a super young man, but my son played all 4 yrs. against him and unless he really steps up reading D's and is able to shake off hits he's not really ready for Div.1 football.

Let's tap the brakes a little. It is a big step from a small private school to Texas, and GG still has 3 years to go.
The Link

If you can find some film, private school or not, he is the "real deal" as evidenced by his recruiting suitors.

Don't forget that David Ash is already a verbal for next year.. and the guy has some legit skills IMHO.
