Wowzer. I'd say if those two lads sign Mr. Wood has a future in all things recruiting on the 40 Acres.

Hook'em!!!

Look forward to Connor becoming a Longhorn and competing against Case to succeed Garrett as the Longhorns' QB. If Colt and Garrett make it to the NFL, soon Texas will be up there with USC, Michigan (and formerly U/Miami) in putting QBs into the NFL.

I like what I'm hearing already about his efforts as future Longhorn. All the best to Connor in bringing JJ and DW with him to Austin.

Way to go Connor! Man if he could get those two to come here and maybe Lache that would be awesome. Great effort by him. Looking forward to him being at the 40 acres!

I love to here these kinds of stories. Even if he is unsuccessful, this is indicative of the type of player/teammate this guy will be. Guys who are doing this sort of work are going to be the guys working hard and encouraging teammates to get better all the time. I don't think you can have too many of these guys.

If he is successful, the additional recruits are gravy...

Like Jeffcoat, his opening game wasn't all that successful... team-wise. Second Baptist got thrashed by Sealy, something like 57-17.

Of course, Connor accounted for 299 of his team's 263 yards of offense. That's right, the rest of the team had -36 yards of total offense. Only two of them - one, not counting Connor - had positive yards rushing. He had 74, one other player had 5... everyone else went in the red. They didn't have a lot of time or space to run in, so it's obvious he didn't have a lot of time or space for passing, which was why he was under 50% passing... 2 TDs anbd 2 picks.

The real question is, how bad would it have been if he hadn't been there? I don't know the answer, but I know I'm happy to see this kid on his way to the Forty.
