Hopefully tonights game vs. Bishop Gorman is not a sign of things to come. He is not very accurate. He is a drop back passer who needs time, is not very mobile, and cannot through anyone open so far. I was hoping to see a lot more out of this kid. Gorman is good, but not over-whelming

This post is wrong on so many levels.

1. He is extremely accurate, has good mobility (not great).

2. I'm totally lost on the "cannot through (I guess you mean "throw') anyone open so far". Have no clue what this means.

3. Gorman is a powerhouse loaded with D1 talent that is recruited and bought. To say they are "good, but not over-whelming" is wrong.

4. Brewer has been recruited for several years by Harsin. Excuse me for believing that he is a better judge of college QB material than you.

From what I saw he looked "lost" against Gorman (so what that they are good - he was supposed to be able to elevate his team to match the competition). Pre-game hype on this board was that he was ready for D-1 competition now. He should go undefeated from here on out.

Yes Harsin is a better judge than any of us but what is to be shown is can he win consistently on Texas' level. We all hope so, but winning against ou in a bowl game is completely different than winning week after week in a conference that is a tad better than the MWC.

Sorry I spelled throw wrong... By throwing someone open you can lead them, or even throw behind them when covered.
Gorman is a pre-season powerhouse, but did not look like the giant they were made out to be. I do concur that Harsin is a better judge of talent. It is early, and of course these are just opinions.
We must have been watching different games (if you watched it).
Again, just my opinion's, thank you for yours.

No problem. IMO, passing judgement after one game is premature. Brewer had little help in that game. He has one good receiver and does not have as a good a team around him as last year...at least not yet.

Its also the first game of the season so I will cut him some slack against stellar competition. If he continues down this path it might be concerning but we will have to wait and see.

"he was supposed to be able to elevate his team to match the competition)." ____________________________ Talent wise, Chaparrel is about on par with a decent 4A school here. They might win a weak 4A district. Bishop Gorman is a football factory with talent like your big 5A powers here in Texas. I don't think Tom Brady could elevate Corpus Christi Callahen to match Galena Park North Shore.

Elite 11 yeilds about 6 good D1 QB's every year. Hopefully we win the coin flip, but to say he is automatic is naive. Again, just an opinion watching him live.
This just in, that Gorman team loses @ home to a highly ranked Armstead team w/out it's best player.
