Connecting DVR to computer question

I have the Dish network DVR and am interested in hooking it up to my computer. My goal is to install a new DVD burner into my computer, so I can burn the things (UT games, etc) which I record onto DVD's. If anyone has experience with this sort of setup I could really use your expertise.
