If you want to see an interesting view of the bats, come up to Hyde Park about an hour after sunset and see all of the bats swirling around the Hyde Park Baptist Church steeple (3901 Speedway), it is an amazing site to see them as they gobble up all the bugs flying around the spotlights.
Went Saturday evening, bats came out as expected at sundown. Sat in the park area on the south bank, east side of bridge. View was impressive, not necessarily awe-inspiring.
Next time I want to stand on the bridge over the water. Seeing the long mass of bats travel down the river is awe-inspiring.
