Congratulations to the Columbus Crew

The best team all year ended up winning the MLS Championship/Cup/whatever.

Ex-Boca player Guillermo Barros Schelotto assisted on all three goals (and had a shot clang off the crossbar) in winning MVP honors. And captain Frankie Hejduk (one of ~11 players still playing in the MLS who played in the original season) scored the last goal to put the game away 3-1.

Frankie and Robbie Rogers (one of my favorite players) are both from California and here is Frankie's retelling of their exchange after he scored.

I prefer surf in the morning and soccer in the afternoon, but otherwise I agree.

Robbie Rogers' family sat in front of us at the Crew-Chivas USA game. Lots of fine lookin' tail in that family but they didn't have much of a sense of humor when we were talking **** to them. Oh well.

Glad to see Columbus win as well - clearly the best team in MLS this year.
