I thought I was going out on a limb to pick SC to Omaha. I was also sure during each of the first 5 innings of the Sunday game vs TCU that Texas was going to open up the basehit can with RISP.

The little things like basehits from unheralded Sr and Jr players getting the clutch hit with 2 out and RISP can make the difference between winning and losing.

Another college baseballl season in the books. The last year for the venerable Rosenblatt stadium. Now we bide our time through the dog days of Summer before the mid August 2 a days start up.

Many of us anticipated the offense letting us down along the way in the tourney. We did not believe it could happen in a 2 out of 3. All year long Ruffin would come in to close out the game, get into a jam, and pitch his way out, usually without giving up the lead .... until the final game. I just did not believe in the Horns enough to vote them number one in Omaha. Therefore ... big yip ... I correctly picked SC to win it all.
