Confessions of Johnny Manziel

Johnny Football thinks he’s special. The truth is his life was foretold by Ray Price:

I'm gettin' tired of roamin' around
I'm gettin' tired of paintin' the town
Bright lights and blonde haired women
don't thrill me
I'm gettin' tired of being lit up like a Christmas tree
I guess I done everything there is to do
you said it would be this way
Believe me baby I'm all through
please let me come home to you

I'm gettin' tired of roamin' around
I'm gettin' tired of paintin' the town
Bright lights and blonde haired women
oh don't thrill me
I'm gettin' sick and tired of being lit up like a Christmas tree
I guess I done everything there is to do
you said it would be this way
Believe me baby I'm all through
please let me please let me come home to you

He is a POS
but I can also see how your view of yourself could get skewed if you heard all your life how great and talented and special you are from so many people. Then to actually perform on the field and win the Heisman. He obviously was weak in character and wasted his career.

I don’t like the guy either but the biggest difference between him and most politicians is Manziel actually paid a price for his stupid choices. Hopefully he has gotten his life together.

I watched him vs Bama and 1 other and came away very impressed with his play at qb...very instinctive player!!
Did not care for the perceptions of his character but I too am hoping that he gets his life together and becomes a productive member of society!

I posted long ago that except for his parents, JM is far ahead of the rest of his family, most of which have been "guests" of the state or county. more than once.

Watched it last night. What a waste. Classic high school star athlete who was never held accountable by his parents or coaches. aggy can drop that bs moniker of never cheating or lying. Sumlin ran an out of control program supported by Lofton and Sharp.

Side comment. Billy Liucci is a douche.

I watched it two nights ago. I liked how he admitted to causing his own mess, but they tried to swing it like it all went downhill after his freshman year and he got popular. I remember all during the recruiting process hearing stories of what an a-hole he is and that he was out of control.

As a human being I hope he can get it together. On the show his sister made it clear he still can't go out on his own because he needs constant support.

I did feel some empathy and hoped he would get it together
but after reading the facts and how they manipulated this doc ( was he drinking beer in it?)
it is just more of the same from him.
Going to save my empathy for someone who really is trying to change

I think you mean sympathy but okay.

Nope not sympathy. He was never downtrodden or had to struggle to live so no sympathy
I mean I can understand some one being told most of their life they were talented special and better at something than everybody else.
Then to find out you aren't and it comes crashing down could throw you for a loop
At first I thought this is what happened to Johnny
And this special was his come to Jesus moment
But all it was was more manipulation

Amazing how immature he still is. Not an ounce of humility……plus he cusses like a 17 year stoner at the weekend keg party. I can only guess, of course.

Guy,

The NCAA couldn't find their own butt if you gave them a tour guide, map, mirror, & flashlight. Best Aggie example was the Murray debacle, where Heritage Publishing (Aggie class of 66) was accused of paying Murray to clean printing presses, but Murray never showed up for work.

Heritage was located in a large office warehouse on Director's Row in Dallas. You entered near the Southeast corner of the building but had to walk to the far north end to find Rod's office. Along the way were multiple doors opening into the warehouse. The NCAA NEVER once opened the door to look into the warehouse. Had they done so, they would have found that Rod didn't have any printing presses because he contracted that work out.

Lot of people didn't like Rod, but the was a loyal Aggie and didn't deserve to be banned. The Aggies had so much to hide that most were fearful of the death penalty and were happy to sacrifice Rod and Jackie to survive.

Watched the documentary, I fully believe suicide isn't too far off for him. He has zero control, no maturity.

His abilities reminded me of Rodney Allison, tech '76. He could take a mediocre team on his back and let it ride...difference is Allison wasn't the open jerkwad manzeil was and is. I have zero sympathy for JM now, never will. Made his own bed

The Netflix movie completely glossed over 2011, his redshirt year.

Sheman's grad assistants would rotate responsibility for JFF and get personally punished if Johnny did anything against Sherman's code. One guy performed the piss test for Johnny that August, failed it himself, and was kicked off the grad assistant duty.

Tom Rossley was finishing up his career and hated Johnny so much that he didn't let him throw during practice. This is when all of the "Manziel to WR" rumors were flying, but none of that was remotely true. The QB coach just didn't like him.

On the flip side, once Kingsbury took over, he basically said "you're my guy, so if you are hungover, you better pull through it." And he did.
