Concrete Staining

I have to get new flooring since my house flooded on Wednesday. I can't decide what I want to get. I don't know the first thing about stained concrete. How much does it cost? Who does it? Right now I am open to any suggestions about this or any other flooring options.

I used Kemiko (cola color). Looks kinda like this.

We've had ours about 4 years, and wouldn't think of anything else. Check out their site.

We used their product and had someone apply it. You can do it yourself. Know folks who have, but your floors have to be in pretty good shape to get it to turn out right. It is definitely worth the money to let someone else do the prep work for you. You'll be much more satisfied. My advice is to let them score some lines (like the ones in this image) on a diagonal. Looks like large tiles. I wasn't sure about it, but it draws the eyes to the pattern and away from any imperfections in your slab.

I definately like that look. How much does something like that run? We thought about doing the stained concrete for our last house, but never looked into pricing and ended up doing tile.

I could be wrong, it has been a few years, but I think I paid a little under $3 a square foot which included the prep work. You come out cheaper if you're doing it in new construction I think,
