I saw the article earlier and this letter to editor in the AAS reminded me of it. I do wonder why the prices are so high and if they will ever be rolled back. I could understand not doing the "endless soda" but the other prices seem reasonable and profitable.
UT should borrow from Falcons’ playbook

In the May 17 edition of the Wall Street Journal, there was a box that indicated the food prices at Atlanta Falcons games for 2017 — $5 beer, $2 hot dogs, $2 bottled water and $2 bottomless sodas!

Will the University of Texas sports management people avoid traveling through Atlanta for fear that this might be contagious? Like the “Zika Fly,” this idea will be swatted and sprayed by Texas sports until there is no threat of infecting the fans’ minds.

I encourage Texas Longhorn Fans (the finest in country!) to enjoy the quality dining experience that has been so carefully crafted for your delight at DKR. It is a special value and also too may contain essential vitamins and/or minerals to boot.

May I also propose a new catchy slogan that our fans will love (according to an informal focus group I assembled recently in a Tijuana bar):

Come early, be hungry, wear orange, spend recklessly, stay late and eat some more.
