Anyone have a link for upcoming concerts? I tried the chronicle but it only goes a week at a time.

Go see Wild Magnolias this weekend at Wwaterloo Park. Cool New Orleans band with a great stage presence.

Or you could make the short drive this weekend to the Houston International festival to see the Wild Magnolias and a lot more.


On Saturday - for an $8 admission (in advance at HEBs - $10 at the gates) - it's Beausoleil, Les Batinses (Canada), Les Tambours de Brazza (Republic of Congo), Oliver Mtukudzi & Black Spirits (Zimbabwe), Omar Sosa Septet (Cuba), Shemekia Copeland, Calvin Owens, Trudy Lynn, and several others.

On Sunday - once again just $8 - see those same Wild Magnolias, along with The Iguanas, Los Hombres Calientes, Marcia Ball, Carol Fran, Rajery (Madascar), Bagad Ronsed-Mor (France), Sergent Garcia (France), Reckless Kelly, and others.


Both days also feature "European-style circuses" (think Cirque de Soleil), dancers, jugglers, magicians, arts & crafts, food, drink, etc.

Last weekend, The Reverend Billy G (Billy Gibbons) was enjoying the fest wearing a black, embroidered suit - and it was in the 80's !!!
