Concealed weapon license ?

Having trouble finding the answer to this....if you're just a typical citizen, no military, federal or state employment, how many states can you simultaneously be registered to carry a weapon? Adding that you have primary residence in Texas, and no other residences in any other state, if that helps? Give the stated above, is it possible for someone to be licensed in 14 states at the same time?

I know there's a Federal license one can obtain, but I was under the impression that it was mainly for weapon sale company owners.

most states that have their own law on concealed licensing will honor your Texas carry license

the same way other states will honor your Texas drivers license

That would be a concealed hand gun. It's perfectly legal in Texas to carry your rifle/shotgun openly (except where firearms are prohibited).

thanks. what i was getting at was clarifying a comment i heard someone say to me recently. A guy in a group of us said he's licensed to carry a concealed weapon (gun is what he said) in 14 different states.

I simply had no idea if a homestead or registered primary residence was required by each state to have a valid license per each state. I just assumed that other states may "honor" your right based on your states' laws (i.e. the drivers' license comment), but didn't think it was as easy as collecting different state spoons at a highway Stuckey's truck stop...
