Computer virus problems ???

The anti virus subscription ran out on the home computer a couple of monthe ago, without my knowledge. The kids continued to use the internet. The computer was running real crapping. I cleaned out all the spyware and it ran a whole lot better. I renewed my Mcaffe subscription and ran the virus scan. Everytime I tried to run the scan, the system reboots during the scan. I have Xp operating system. Help??

If McAfee continues to do this, try disabling it and running the Free scan from TrendMicro atThe Link

Another thing you should do very soon, if not prior to going to the TrendMicro site, is to visit Windows Update at Microsoft.com for the security updates for your operating system.
