Computer store wi/student discount?

Is there a store (on Guadalupe?) near campus that offers student discounts for software and hardware???

my daughter will be attending UT next year and I may load up..

You can get the latest full versions of windows and office for something like $35-$45 if that is any indication on the rest of the prices. Unfortunately, I forgot to buy extras before I graduated last year.

Microsoft discounts are better than the rest. Regardless of the MS product you buy, it's only about $5-6 per CD. Visual Studio .NET for ~$30? Insane.

Don't expect quite as big a discount on other brand software, though. They're comparable to educational discounts you can get at just about any retailer that offers discounts.

UT has one of the best campus computer stores in the country. Take advantage of it while you can.

I only recommend buying software and those specialized computer packages from them. Everything else, (computer parts and other accessories) are a rip off.
