I bought a new Dell 2400 for the casa about 6 weeks ago. About 3 weeks into running the thing started a continuous annoying humming sound. My Dell 4600 at the office is so quiet it can't even be heard. What could possibly be wrong? Just thought I would ask before calling support. Thanks in advance.

Best guess is that a drive or power cable has shifted slightly, and is rubbing against a fan (probably the CPU fan). Take off the case cover and see if you can tell exactly where the noise is originating
