I have several problems that I can't seem to figure out and they're really starting to annoy me. If anybody could help I'd really appreciate it.

1. Everytime I start my web browser the Microsoft Small Office Business Manager 2003 installation starts up. I click cancel but it never stops the process. It goes thru several more pop ups before telling me to pop in the installation cd. It takes about 15 clicks on the cancel button b/f it finally goes away. It has also started doing this when I try to access things once I finally do get on the web. The problem, other than it starting to piss me off, is that I don't have a clue where the disk is. Why is it doing this?

2. My default web browser is MSN, but everytime I log on, after the office manager crap, it keeps taking me to the same random site with a bunch of spyware pop ups. Changing the setting on the control panel back to MSN doesn't work and the damned site keeps coming up.

Get a spyware remover (adaware, spybot s&d) then quit sucking microsofts dick and get some other software.

Do you use MS Office Small Business Manager? If not, uninstall it. Your homepage is being hijacked by spyware/adware, get Ad Aware & Spybot Search & Destroy and it should fix it.

Do you have current virus scan scan software that use run at least once a week?

aafter you get it fixed switch to mozilla or firebird and never use IE again

Do you have the latest Ad Aware definitions? Try getting additional spyware removal tools. Search this forum, there have been several other threads on adware/spyware removal.

Do you have an up-to-date virus scanner? Have you scanned for viruses?

If the adaware and spybot won't help your browser, go get HIJACKTHIS, and find it on the list, and get rid of it.

If you have XP you can also try system restore.
You can also try start, run, type msconfig, click on the startup tab and uncheck anything you are unfamiliar with (try to make sure your antivirus stuff is still checked) and try that.
