alright, so i hav windows XP. my computer is a fuckface and needs to be replaced as soon as someone (cough--parents--cough) buy me a new one. however, i have a problem.

sometimes my computer will freeze and i have to restart it. but this time, when i rebooted, it wouldn't let me sign in my password at the beginning of windows XP. it gave me this message

It sounds like you need to update to sp2 maybe? Do you know how to start the computer in safe mode with networking? I would do that and d/l all the updates.

Boot up in safe mode , but do a System restore when it asks you.
